The conference will be hosted at the Sheraton Hotel Newfoundland. The hotel is located in the heart of the historic downtown and overlooks the harbour. It is also within walking distance of many local attractions, restaurants, landmarks, parks, and hiking trails.

When conference sessions have finished for the day, don't forget to schedule a little time for yourself. Take a stroll through the streets of St. John's, visit some of the historic sites, perhaps a little shopping for that unique keepsake, or maybe enjoy a leisurely eveing with friends and colleagues discussing the day's events. The Sheraton Hotel Newfoundland is offering a special rate for conference delegates.Their page enables you to select the room that best suits your needs and take advantage of the conference rate. The calendar on their reservation page displays the dates when the conference rate is available. Please note that reservations must be made before April 13, 2011.

Getting Here

St. John's is serviced by major airlines including Air Canada, WestJet, Porter, and a daily link from Newark on Continental. The Sheraton is roughly a 15 minute ($22.50) cab ride from the airport.

Some may prefer to drive across the island and perhaps take in the conference as part of a family vacation. The island is connected from North Sydney, NS by Marine Atlantic. Marine Atlantic Ferries run year-round to Port aux Basques and from mid-June to mid-September to Argentia. The drive from Port aux Basques to St. John's is approximately 900 kilometres while the drive from Argentia to St. John's is approximately 130 kilometres.
