Beer Tasting - YellowBelly Brewery The YellowBelly Brewery is located in one of the few buildings to survive The Great Fire of 1892. The brewery has loads of character and its beers are freshly brewed on site by their very own master brewer. The feature beers are Fighting Irish Red Ale, St. John's Stout, YellowBelly Pale Ale, and Wexford Wheat. The YellowBelly Brewery will be the location for an evening of beer tasting for the beer connaisseur in you. The cost is $20.00 per person and you can contact Karen Darby to reserve your space.
APLA Interest Groups Interest groups are members bound together by a common interest. The purpose of the interest group is to provide a forum for information exchange and to make recommendations as appropriate to the Association. Normally, interest groups will communicate by phone, email or other means. As an After Hours event these groups are given the opportunity to meet face-to-face for dinner or drinks as well as a little social networking. Be sure to check out the Interest Group information table for any activities that may be scheduled.
APLA Merit Award Banquet and Dance
The APLA Merit Award Banquet and Dance has been a long standing tradition of the APLA conference. The award is to honor an individual who has made a substantial contribution to the library community in the Atlantic Provinces. Join your colleagues for a pre-dinner cocktail at 6:30 and enjoy a sumptuous meal whith your choice of Glazed Atlantic Salmon, Roasted Pork Loin, or Roasted Mushroom Risotto. Following the meal, be prepared to dance the night away! The dance will feature the musical talents of MusicNL's "Male Artist of the Year" SHERMAN DOWNEY and his band THE AMBIGUOUS CASE, who are nominees for this year's ECMA "Rising Star Recording" and "Best Group Recording". Armed with charming melodies, toe-tapping rhythms and a story to tell, Sherman Downey and The Ambiguous Case will have you singing shamelessly and dancing the night away. |
