How to Access Electronic Journals

There are several ways to access full-text electronic journals to which Memorial University subscribes. Each is described below.

For off-campus users, select the Quick Links drop down box located on the Library Homepage to access the off-campus login page.

The Library maintains an Electronic Journals web page which can be accessed from the Library homepage. Here you will find an alphabetical list of ejournals available to MUN Users. While this list is updated frequently, the most current listings are found in the Library Catalogue.

Library Catalogue access

There are direct links to electronic journals in the Library Catalogue, and this is the only way to find a list of ejournals by subject. Access to the Library Catalogue can be found on the Library homepage.

To determine if there is electronic access for a particular journal:

select Journal Titles from the top bar.
type in the words from the title.
click Search Catalogue.
in the search results list, click the button next to your title.

Article indexes

Many online indexes allow you to go from a citation to the fulltext of an article if available. This can happen two ways:

via a "direct" link to fulltext. Look for FULL TEXT ARTICLE etc.
via an "indirect" link to our library holdings. Look for Locate Document, or Check Library Holdings, etc.

A list of Article Indexes is available from the Library Homepage, select the Article Search tab found at the top of the Library homepage.
