Exporting from GeoRef (Ebsco) to RefWorks2.0.

When in GeoRef, do not use the "Direct Export" option to export citations to RefWorks as it is problematic. Instead, create a text file of your selected citations and export it to RefWorks by following the steps below:

  1. After tagging and selecting the records in GeoRef, click Export. Select Generic bibliographic management software and click Save.
  2. Click File, Save as. Name the file and save it as a text (.txt) file.
  3. Sign into your RefWorks account and under References choose Import.
  4. Under Import Filter/Data Source select Ebscohost. Under Database select GeoRef. Click Browse and on the name of your imported file. Click Open.
  5. Click Import and View Last Imported Folder.
