Problems with exporting from Wiley journals to RefWorks.

The "Direct Export" option to RefWorks from Wiley journals is currently not working. RefWorks has been notified and is working with Wiley to find a solution. Until the problem is resolved, you can export from Wiley journals by creating a text file of selected citations and then export them to RefWorks. This process may vary from database to database. Follow the steps below to export citations from Wiley journals into RefWorks

Once in the Wiley Online Library (or a specific Wiley journal):

  1. Conduct your search and tag the records to export.
  2. Click the Export Citation button at the top/bottom of the screen.
  3. Select Plain Text as the format and submit. Click on Open.
  4. A window will open with your marked citation(s); mark/copy the citation text.
  5. Sign into your RefWorks account and under References, choose Import.
  6. Select the "Import Filter/Data Source" as RIS Format and the "Database" as RIS Format. Choose "Import Data from the following Text" and paste the citations into the text box below. Click Import.
