Self-service Copiers and Printers

The photocopy machines are located in a room across from the Circulation Desk. They are available for use up until 15 minutes before closing. There is a printer connected to the reference workstations located near the Information Desk. Only photocopy paper provided by the Library should be used in the photocopiers or printer.

The cost is $.05 per page (single side) for photocopies or prints. Payment options are as follow:

All library users:

Campus Card - The printer and all the photocopiers accept the MUN Campus Card (university id). Money can be added to your Campus Card using the Card Manager unit located near the information desk, or similar units around campus. These units accept $1.00 and $2.00 coins, as well as bills. If you are not a member of Memorial, you can purchase a non-id Campus Card from the Card Manager unit for $2.00. The units can issue receipts.

Faculty of Medicine

Departmental copy/print cards are kept at the Circulation Desk for the use of faculty, staff, and graduate students in the Faculty of Medicine. You must have your library card with you, and the copy/print cards should not be removed from the Library.

Medical residents:

Under the PAIRN agreement, medical residents are entitled to a maximum of 1200 free photocopies/printed pages per year. Copy/print cards are available at the Circulation Desk - a $3.00 refundable deposit is required. You must have your library card with you to obtain your copy/print cards.

School of Nursing, School of Pharmacy, and other MUN departments:

Faculty and staff should check with your department to see whether copy and/or print cards are available for your use.

Staff of the Health Sciences Centre

Departmental copy/print cards are kept at the Circulation Desk for the use of staff of the Health Care Corporation of St. John's, and the Newfoundland Cancer Treatment and Research Foundation. You must have your library card with you, and the copy/print cards should not be removed from the Library.

Colour Printing

You can use the Multi-media/Scanning workstation, located near the Information Desk, to send print jobs to our colour printer. Notify the Circulation staff, who will release and obtain your prints. The charge is $.20 per page for photo quality (matte finish) paper. Transparencies for colour printing are also available at a cost of $1.50 per sheet. Payment is by cash only.

Microforms and Transparencies

Paper copies from microfilm or microfiche may be made on our microform reader-printer at $0.05 per page. Use our Microform reader to scan or view images. Then use the Paperport software on the scanner workstation to save or print the scanned images that you have selected.

Transparency sheets for use in the photocopiers are available at no cost to Faculty of Medicine's faculty, staff, post-graduates (residents) or graduates. Other patrons are charged $0.50 each per transparency. Color Transparencies are available for a $1.50 per sheet at the Circulation Desk.
