Loan Policies [top]

As a member of the East Coast Relais Consortium, we follow the ECRC Loan Periods.
ECRC has a 3 week non-renewable loan policy for returnables. The 3 week period begins when the library gets the item.

Newfoundland and Labrador Health Libraries [top]

In addition to providing article copies and loaning books and videos, we will also provide location searches to health libraries in Newfoundland and Labrador. We will assume you have already searched Amicus and that you have access to Symbols and Interlibrary Loan Policies in Canada.

Placing Requests [top]

Requests can be placed by email, fax, Ariel, web form or by physical mail. We do NOT take any requests over the phone.

We prefer parse-able electronic requests (e.g. via Aviso).

If you wish, we do have web request forms available for journal articles, book loans, or conference papers. As you are a library, you must put the following information in the following fields

Please put your mailing address and delivery instructions and any other pertinent details in the "Remarks" field.

Urgent service is available at a fee of $10.00 per item, plus copy and delivery fees. Urgent requests will be processed by the next working day or sooner, depending on the level of urgency. Urgent requests should be marked URGENT, submitted by fax or Ariel, and phone contact should be made with Document Delivery to alert us to the request and to the level of urgency.
