Photocopying
Members of the Memorial University of Newfoundland Alumni Association are eligible to borrow books from the MUN Libraries: the Queen Elizabeth II Library, the Dr. C.R. Barrett Library (Marine Institute), the Health Sciences Library, and the Ferriss Hodgett Library (Sir Wilfred Grenfell College, Corner Brook).
Library Cards
Your MUN Alumni Association card serves as your library card. To obtain an Alumni Association card, please visit the Registrar's Office at the Marine Institute from Monday to Friday 8:30am - 4:00pm. Staff at the Circulation Desk, Dr. C.R. Barrett Library, will activate the card while you wait.
PLEASE NOTE:
- the Library reserves the right to suspend borrowing privileges for breach of library rules or regulations
- responsibility for ANYTHING borrowed with a library card rests with the individual to whom the card is issued.

PLEASE NOTE:
- Books should be returned through the book drop when the library is closed.
- Between semesters, the hours change.
Library Privileges
Borrowing Material
- you may borrow books for two weeks
- you may not sign out journals
- you may access the Document Delivery Service
- material must be checked out in person
- individuals living in the immediate area must return books in person

individuals living outside the immediate area may return books by mail or courier. If you do, you are responsible for items lost or damaged during transit, and are required to:
- use sufficient care in packaging
- use some form of registered delivery
- ensure their receipt by the Library on or before the due date
Renewals
- books may be renewed unless someone else has put a HOLD on them
- books may be renewed through the MUN Libraries home page under Make a Request
- individuals without computer access and those living outside the immediate area may call 778-0662 to request renewal of books
Restrictions
- alumni cannot place holds
- there are restrictions on use of some reserve material
- alumni cannot access Intercampus Loans
Books May be Recalled:
- AT ANY TIME if requested by a university patron or if needed for Reserves.
- to avoid a fine, return the item within 3 days of the date of the Recall notice. Thereafter, a fine of $2.00 a day will accrue.
Fines are charged for:
- Recalled books not returned within 3 days of the notice ($2.00/day)
- Overdue Reserve material ($2.00/hour)
- Lost book (or other material) (cost +$5.00 nonrefundable processing fee)
Photocopying

MUN CampusCard
- Initial cost = $2.00
- money can be added to the card in increments of $1.00 up to $50.00.

Coin Operated Photocopying
- Two coin operated machines are available in the Dr. C.R. Barrett library and another near the elevator on the main floor of the Marine Institiute building.
- Photocopy costs are $0.10 per copy
