Borrowing (778-0662)
Your
Memorial University Campus Card is your library card. Each September, you should update your Campus Card at the Circulation Desk to obtain Library privileges and receive your PIN Number. Your Campus Card is necessary to sign out books, journals, and audiovisual materials, and to renew books. Your PIN Number is needed for remote access to various online resources and the 'My account' services in the library catalogue. You also use your Campus Card to borrow audiovisual equipment with MI Audiovisual Services
Faculty and staff may borrow books for 4 months and journals overnight. Books can be renewed, unless someone else has put a HOLD on them. Books can be renewed directly in the library catalogue. Books may be recalled 2 weeks after the initial charge out date if required by another patron. Books may be recalled IMMEDIATELY if needed for Reserve.
Document Delivery (778-0368)
Through Document Delivery, books and photocopies of periodical articles which are not available in Memorial University collections are obtained from other libraries worldwide. The Document Delivery service is available to all faculty and staff students. Average delivery time is 7-14 days. To order an item through Document Delivery fill in the

ICL - Intercampus Loans (778-0368)
Through Intercampus Loans, books may be borrowed and photocopies obtained from other Memorial University libraries. This service is provided free of charge to faculty and staff students. Average delivery time for Intercampus Loans is 3-7 working days. To obtain articles, complete the
Intercampus Loan Article Form. Books can be ordered directly through the library catalogue. To use this method consult

Media Collection (778-0662)
The Media collection is located near the entrance of the Reference/Reading Room. Media materials include cassettes, CD-ROMs, diskettes, films, ship drawings, slides, and videotapes. All materials are listed in the Memorial University Libraries catalogue. Media materials are loaned for 1 or 2 weeks ; they can be recalled IMMEDIATELY for in-class use. Photocopying (778-0662)
There are two photocopiers in the Dr. C.R. Barrett Library, and another one near the elevator on the main floor of the Marine Institute building. Photocopies cost &0.10 per page. Faculty and staff may charge their copying to a departmental account by using their departmental copy card. Information about departmental cards is available at the Circulation Desk.
Reserves (778-0613)
Contact the Reserve desk to place course related material on Reserve in person, by telephone or by sending the
Add Title to Reserve form. Books and articles can be placed on short term loan for 2 hours, 1 day or 3 days. Links to Internet resources can be listed in the Reserve section of the library catalogue. If you have some web sites you would like your students to use for a particular course, bring the addresses and titles of the sites to the Reserve desk.

The Atlantic Scholarly Information Network gives faculty and staff borrowing privileges at major academic libraries in Atlantic Canada. - CISTI Source - Table of Contents Service
This service is designed to deliver the table of contents of selected journal titles (maximum of 20) to the email accounts of faculty and graduate students. To set up this service contact the Reference Desk at 778-0615 or .
- Reciprocal Faculty Borrowing Program
Memorial University has joined a program of the Research Libraries Advisory Committee to OCLC that allows faculty members of participating institutions borrowing privileges and on-site access to the collections of some of the most important research libraries in North America.
