Photocopying
Members of the Memorial University of Newfoundland Alumni Association are eligible to borrow books from the MUN Libraries: the Queen Elizabeth II Library, the Dr. C.R. Barrett Library (Marine Institute), the Health Sciences Library, and the Ferriss Hodgett Library (Sir Wilfred Grenfell College, Corner Brook).
Library Cards (864-7423)
Your MUN Alumni Association card serves as your library card. To obtain an Alumni Association card, please contact Student Services (UC-3005). Staff at the Circulation Desk, Queen Elizabeth II Library, will activate the card while you wait.
PLEASE NOTE:
- the Library reserves the right to suspend borrowing privileges for breach of library rules or regulations
- responsibility for ANYTHING borrowed with a library card rests with the individual to whom the card is issued.

PLEASE NOTE:
- Hours are extended during exams.
- Books may be returned through the book drop when the library is closed.
- Between semesters, the hours change.
- Service hours within the library vary.
Library Privileges (864-7423)
Borrowing Material
- you may borrow books for two weeks
- you may not sign out journals
- you may access the Document Delivery Service. Alumni must pay all charges incurred by the library. Where charges apply, Document Delivery staff will check with the user before filling the request.
- for intercampus loans, alumni must use the Document Delivery form
- material must be checked out in person
- individuals living in the immediate area must return books in person

individuals living outside the immediate area may return books by mail or courier. If you do, you are responsible for items lost or damaged during transit, and are required to:
- use sufficient care in packaging
- use some form of registered delivery
- ensure their receipt by the Library on or before the due date
Renewals
- books may be renewed unless someone else has requested them.
- books may be renewed through the MUN Libraries home page under Make a Request
- individuals without computer access and those living outside the immediate area may call 864-7423 to request renewal of books
Restrictions
- alumni cannot use the
button to:
- place holds
- request ICL
- there are restrictions on use of some reserve material
- there are restrictions on the use of most Ebooks, EJournals and Article Indexes
- alumni can request items from offsite storage (see QEII Circulation desk).
Books May be Recalled:
- AT ANY TIME if requested by a university patron or if needed for Reserves.
- to avoid a fine, return the item within 3 days of the date of the Recall notice.
Fines are charged for:
- Recalled books not returned within 3 days of the date on the bottom of the notice ($2.00/day)
- Overdue Reserve material ($2.00/hour)
- Lost book (or other material) (cost +$5.00 nonrefundable processing fee)

- Initial cost = $2.00
- money can be added to the card in increments of $1.00 up to $50.00.

Coin Operated Photocopying
- Three coin operated machines are available

Copy Services Staff
- Library staff will copy paper-to-paper, microform-to-paper, etc.
