This photograph of Portuguese fishing vessels in St. John's Harbour was taken by photographer C.F. Ruggles early one morning in 1952. It appeared in Life magazine in its Oct. 20, 1952 issue. Copyright permission to reproduce this photograph has been provided by Mrs. Grace Ruggles.

Prints are now on sale in the Centre for Newfoundland Studies. They measure 37 x 27 cm. and are in sepia-toned black and white on a thin "linen" paper.

They sell for $7.50 each (total cost, includes postage & handling for North America). They sell for $10.00 total to destinations outside of North America.

All proceeds from the sale of this print go to the Opportunity Fund to support the work of the Centre for Newfoundland Studies.
