CNS Subject Files

The Centre for Newfoundland Studies maintains over 23,000 files containing newspaper clippings, periodical articles and brochures on a wide range of topics including ships, places, book reviews, theatre reviews as well as biographical information. The subject Vertical Files contain mostly newspaper articles, while the Periodical Article Files include photocopies of selected magazine and periodical articles only. Our lists of files are given below except for our Community File list. Communities may be found by searching our library catalogue for a community name. A catalogue record will indicate if the Centre holds a file (called Community Pamphlet File). All our files may be consulted at the Centre only and users may make photocopies.
