The Media Centre is located on Level 1 of the Queen Elizabeth II Library. The Centre houses the majority of the Library's Microforms Collections and provides retrieval of journals (Post 1985 A - Journal of Chemical Physics) located in closed stacks.

Collections and Services

Microcard, microfilm, and microfiche readers are available for patrons use. A microfilm/fiche copier is available to users who wish to make paper copies. Copies cost 30 cents per copy. A microform scanner is also available. Sign-up sheets are provided for users to book the copier and scanner in advance.

Staff are available to provide assistance to users to locate materials and use equipment. Some guides and indexes for the microforms collections are found on or in the microforms cabinets, while others are at the Research Help Desk or in the Reference Stacks.

Faculty and Grad. Students - 4 months
All others - 2 Weeks.

ERIC Microfiche
Faculty - 1 month
Grad. and Research Assistants - 2 Weeks
All Other Cardholders - 1 Week

Newspapers and Journals (print and microform)
Faculty and Grad. Students - 1 week

Microform readers may also be borrowed from the Circulation desk.

Service Hours

The Media Help Desk is generally staffed from 9-5, Monday to Friday. The microforms collection is accessible during building hours. Journals located in the closed stacks location can be retrieved through the Circulation Desk outside of regular hours.
