Loan Periods

Sound Recordings (CDs, LPs, & Cassette Tapes):
Memorial faculty, students and staff - 1 week loan

Video Cassettes, Laser Discs, & DVDs:
Memorial faculty, students and staff - 1 week loan

Scores:
Memorial faculty, staff and graduate students - 4 month loan
Memorial undergraduate students - 2 week loan

Collected Works and Historical Sets:
Music School Faculty Only - 24 hour loan

Reference material:
In library use only

Reserves:
In library use only, unless specified by professor

Holds

Holds may be placed by all faculty and students on any item except those on Reserve.
Items will be held in MRC for 3 days after patron has been notified.

Recalls

Any items may be recalled at any time if required for Reserve.
Sound recordings may be recalled after the initial loan period of 1 week.
Scores may be recalled after the initial loan period of 2 weeks.

Renewals

Items may be renewed pending no outstanding holds or recalls.
Renewals may be done by phone, e-mail, or in person.

Overdue Notices

A notice will be issued from MRC when an item is overdue. Notice will be sent out via e-mail to your MUN e-mail account. If you do not have a MUN e-mail account you will need to sign up for one at http://my.mun.ca . If the patron does not return materials within 19 days after the due date, a bill for the replacement cost + a $5.00 non-refundable processing fee for each item will be issued by the QEII Library.

Returning Materials

Please return all borrowed materials to the MRC circulation desk. To return materials after hours please deposit in return slot on MRC door.
