Borrowing | Document Delivery | Online Journals | Photocopying
An "alumnus" is someone who has completed at least one course at Memorial University.
Alumni are eligible to borrow books from any of the MUN Libraries. Your Alumni Card, which you can obtain in the Library, serves as your library card.
Alumni may borrow books for 2 weeks and must check the material out in person. Books may be renewed online or by contacting the library, unless someone else has placed a HOLD on them. Books may be recalled at any time if requested by another patron or if needed for Reserves. Please note that books may be returned through the book drop when the library is closed.
Books and articles not at the Ferriss Hodgett Library can be obtained from other libraries. All costs are passed on to alumni. To make a Document Delivery request, please contact the library.
Alumni can access the online journal collection using one of the four Reference Area computers. Alumni are not able to print or email journal articles. However, library staff will print articles upon request to a maximum of 5 articles, and at a cost of 20 cents per page.
There are 2 photocopiers available on the main level of the Library. Photocopy costs are 10 cents per copy. Machines take coins (the Library does not provide change). Copies from Microforms are available from the Circulation Desk at a cost of 20 cents per copy.
Save money and the environment: Ask Library staff how you can scan your item and email a paperless e-copy to yourself for FREE.
MUN is committed to compliance with copyright laws, and all photocopying should comply with the Copyright Act. Please read the University's Use of Public Photocopiers for more specific guidance.
