Faculty, staff, and students are welcome to suggest artists or specific titles for purchase. Please email your recommendations to Crystal Rose, or come to the library and chat with her in person. She loves to talk about graphic novels.
The Ferriss Hodgett Library began its Graphic Novel Collection in 2008. We currently have over 200 titles and are continuing to build the collection. Graphic Novels support many of the college's programs, such as English, Visual Arts, Social/Cultural Studies, Folklore, and others. The graphic novel genre is widely recognized as having aesthetic, literary, and cultural value, and many academic libraries in Canada and the United States now include them as a part of their collections.
