University Librarian Message
Making the possible probable
Memorial University Libraries is integral to the campus and community of Memorial University of Newfoundland. It is the largest system of research libraries in Atlantic Canada with six branches across the province and one location in Harlow, England.
We proudly fulfill a unique role for the citizens of this province as the only system of university libraries in the province. We engage in partnerships with provincial, regional and national consortiums and actively contribute to the evolving and precedent-setting conversations that are shaping the future of libraries across Canada.
In 2017 the Libraries will embark on a new strategic planning process that will see the creation of an aspirational, comprehensive and future-focused guide. This plan will draw on the vision of our dedicated librarians and staff, and will transform and reflect the endless possibilities that libraries truly represent in a complex and technologically evolving world.
As always, our expert librarians and information specialists continue to connect Memorial’s students, faculty and our user communities with the information they require in their pursuit of learning and research excellence. Through their unique expertise, they collect, curate, and facilitate access to scholarly communication and the information world.
