Guidelines for Submission of Original Artwork for Exhibition in HSL

  1. All artwork submitted for hanging must be framed or dry mounted and affixed with appropriate hanging fixtures.
  2. All artwork submitted for display within the display case must be able to reasonably fit (case dimensions: L 60” x W 30”, with an internal clearance of 5”).
  3. Artists must complete an Artist Submission Form (pdf), providing their contact information and details of the submitted artwork. The HSL will securely retain your information for no more than one year after the closure of the installation, after which it will be securely discarded to maintain the privacy of your information.
  4. Artists must sign The ARTery’s Artist Waiver of Liability Form (pdf). The HSL does not assume responsibility for the damage or theft of any items on display. All items are submitted at the owner’s risk.
  5. Artists are responsible for the delivery and pick-up of their own work.
  6. The HSL does not sell exhibit pieces nor advertise them for sale.
  7. The ARTery Team will select each of the works for display at their own discretion, and decide where artwork will be exhibited within the available space. Submission of artwork does not guarantee it will be displayed.  Items may be considered ineligible for display if they are: of excessive size or weight; constructed of hazardous substances; or intended for professional advertising.
  8. Artists are expected to leave their work on display for the duration of the exhibition.  However, depending on the number of submissions and available space, items may be displayed for a longer period.
