Canadian Science Advisory Secretariat (DFO) - Publications 
The Canadian Science Advisory Secretariat (CSAS) coordinates the peer review of scientific issues for the Department of Fisheries and Oceans. This website provides the following reports: Stock Status Reports, Ecosystem Status Reports, Habitat Status Reports, Research Documents featuring detailed scientific information, as well as Proceedings Reports which record the activities at meetings or workshops of which DFO is a sponsor.

Centre for Fisheries Ecosystems Research (Marine Institute) 
In 2010, CFER was created with a five-year mandate through funding from the Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture and the Research and Development Corporation. The goal of CFER is to better understand fish stocks and the productivity of Newfoundland and Labrador's marine ecosystem through fisheries research. Dr. George Rose is the Chair.

CURRA - Community-University Research for Recovery Alliance 
CURRA is a research program of innovative, interdisciplinary research projects related to helping communities and organizations along Newfoundland's west coast develop strategies for the recovery of fish stocks and fishery communities. It is based at the Bonne Bay Marine Station in Norris Point, NL.

Included on this website are opening and closing dates for seasons, total allowable catches and management plans. It covers the 3Ps groundfish fishery, the Northern Cod Stewardship Fishery 2J3KL, the Atlantic cod fishery in the northern and southern Gulf of St. Lawrence and the recreational groundfish fishery.

GeoCod - Geomatics for the Sustainable Management of Fish Stocks 
GeoCod aims at developing a GIS-based decision-support tool to provide fishery managers with comprehensive and accurate analyses of changing marine ecosystems, to develop new policies.
