Eastern Health
Services for Eastern Health employees (HSC site)
The Health Sciences Library (HSL) provides resources and services for the staff of Eastern Health’s Health Sciences Centre site, including the Janeway Children's Health and Rehabilitation Centre and the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre.
Borrowing
Eastern Health employees may use their Eastern Health employee ID to borrow items from the Health Sciences Library. Bring your Eastern Health ID card to the Lending Services Desk in the Health Sciences Library (H1615) to have your account set up.
Visit our borrow, return, renew pages to learn about loan periods and other borrowing details (Eastern Health employees follow Guest borrowing periods).
OneSearch accounts
If you don’t have a current MUN Login ID, a OneSearch account lets you view your library account, request items for pickup, and renew your loans. A OneSearch account does not provide off-campus access to our online resources such as ebooks, ejournals, or databases.
Eastern Health employees (HSC site) can obtain a OneSearch account by visiting the Lending Services Desk in the Health Sciences Library (H1615) with their Eastern Health employee ID.
Need something we don’t have?
You may use our Document Delivery service to borrow items from other institutions. There is normally no fee for this service for Eastern Health employees (HSC site); if a fee is necessary, we will notify you before processing your request.
You may also recommend a new purchase. Recommendations are evaluated by librarians in consultation with our collection development policies.
Digital resources and subscriptions
In-person access
Eastern Health employees can access our subscription resources such as databases, ejournals, and ebooks on campus at the Health Sciences Library or at other Memorial Libraries.
We are unable to provide off-campus access to databases, journals, and other electronic subscriptions to anyone who is not a current MUN student, staff, or faculty member.
