Make a Gift to CNS

Gifts-in-Kind

Memorial University Libraries welcomes all gifts, whether they be financial contributions or "gifts-in-kind", such as books, journals, audiovisual materials, microforms, computer media, cartographic materials and so on. We hope you will think about donating any Newfoundland and Labrador in-kind materials that you may have in your personal library to the Centre for Newfoundland Studies. Please send CNS a descriptive list of the material being offered to cnsqeii@mun.ca.

Deed of Agreement

At the time of delivery, donors are required to sign a Deed of Gift form, which transfers ownership of all items to the library.

The Library reserves the right to determine which donated items to add to its collections, and to dispose of those items it decides not to keep. The Library may donate rejected items to another institution or sell them in a library book sale for charity. Or they may be returned to the Donor if s/he so stipulates in the Deed of Gift made with the Library.

Donors who wish to receive a tax receipt must indicate this on the Deed of Gift form. Tax credit receipts will only be issued for gifts-in-kind where the value of the items added to the library collection is greater than $200.
