Printing and Photocopying

You can print from any computer in the library or wirelessly from your own laptop or device.

Photocopiers and printers are located in the Print and Copy Room near the library entrance, across from the Lending Services desk. There is also a printer in each computer classroom.

Printing Costs

  • $0.05 per side using your campus ID card or guest card.
    • Select printer HSLCOMMONQUEUE. Pick up your document in the Print and Copy room.
  • $0.05 per side using cash.
    • Select printer HSL_Backup_Printer. Pick up and pay for your document at the Lending Services desk.
  • $0.20 per side for colour printing. Cash only.
    • Select printer HP Color LaserJet M452dn. Pick up and pay for your document at the Lending Services desk.

Add Money to Your Card

  • Add money online using a credit card
  • Add coins ($1 or $2) using the Card Manager unit located near the Information and Reference Help desk
  • Guests may purchase a card from the Card Manager unit for $5.00 

Wireless Printing

To print a document using wireless printing from your own laptop or device:

  • Visit Click the PRINT button.
  • Enter a Login ID and Password.  We suggest you use your name in both fields. The Login ID that you choose will identify your print job at the release station.
  • Choose a file from your computer or select a webpage. Click CONTINUE.
  • Select Printing Options. Click CONTINUE.
  • Be patient. Documents from your computer must be uploaded to the server. Once the file is uploaded, click SUBMIT JOB TO PRINTER.
  • Visit the Print and Copy room across from the Lending Services desk to retrieve your documents.

Departmental Copy/Print Cards

Departmental copy/print cards are kept at Lending Services for faculty, staff, residents and graduate students in the Faculty of Medicine. The cards are for work and research use only, and may not be removed from the library. You must have a photo ID with you to sign out a departmental copy/print card. The Faculty of Nursing and School of Pharmacy issue departmental copy cards directly to their faculty and staff.
