Comic Life

Overview

Great for creating all sorts of stories and puts all of the creativity in the students’ hands! Absolutely wonderful! Can be a little challenging to navigate but if you read the instructions before starting you should have no trouble navigating. In terms of French Immersion classrooms, the only stipulation for this would be that instructions and everything are in English. However, as long as the technology instrument you are using has French keyboards or the capability to produce French characters such as é, è and à, there should be no trouble using this program in french. Overall I give it 4/5.

Grade Level

This app works for all grade levels. At the lower levels it would be more of a guided activity as there are many parts to it that students would not be able to quickly decipher right away. As the students increase in grade level their abilities with this app increase, their independence exponentially increases.

Strength: Students are in complete control of the story from the pictures, to the wording, to overall design of it. This works with all grades.

Weakness: I have a very difficult time finding a major weakness for this app. The biggest weakness would probably have to be that things are kind of hidden throughout the app.
